SCRATCH Magazine Review My Eternal Winter | May/June 2007

In most rap music, winter metaphors are linked to medallions and cocaine. For this Bucktown producer, Black Panther, “winter” is more “Cold As Ice” than it is “Grills.” A blizzard of torrential synth samples and cold-blooded couplets, the album’s sunniest moments are eerie R&B musings. Proving all that’s icy ain’t platinum-certified, Panther along with guest MF Grimm, M-1, and Pumpkinhead, provide Heat for the underground.

Black Panther and Manekineko Pro are working on two future projects. Black Panther and Oktober are working on a new project album " Black Oktober " The Album is still yet untitled but these two have already cooked up 7 tracks for the album already. look for this LP coming this fall. Because of manufacturing problems the album has been pushed back to April 10th. That is the date and the albums are ready to go. And lastly look out for the new review of " My Eternal Winter " in the new scratch Magazine.

Producer Black Panther releases his much anticipated sophomore Album "My Eternal Winter" on his own label Manekineko Pro with distribution from Koch. The album features appearances by M-1 of dead prez, Maya Azucena, Oktober Zero, MF Grimm and more.

January 4, 2007 (FPRC) -- New York, NY--- Brooklyn's own Black Panther made his mark as a hip hop producer with his 2003 debut release “The Darkest Night Ever” on the label Third Earth. Blessed with lyrics by some of the best underground emcees including Jean Grae, stic man of dead prez, Pumpkinhead and C-rayz Walz this concept album received acclaimed reviews from the hip hop world with allhiphop.com stating, “Soon you'll be hearing his name in a lot of those 'favorite producer' arguments”.

2007 finds Black Panther ready to solidify his mark with his sophomore release “My Eternal Winter” March 13th on his own label, Manekineko Pro. with distribution from HBD/Koch. Once again Panther enlists some of the best underground emcees and always looking to push himself to the next level, takes it a step further to incorporate r&b, rock and pop for this concept album about individual eternal struggles.
